    Industrial Rhombic Type Mist Eliminator Demister For Smoke Filter Dust Collector

    Basic principle

    Flue gas separates droplets away under the action of inertia force and bending line when passing through the mist eliminator. Part of droplets in the flue gas are captured while crashing into mist eliminator blades under the action of centrifugal force and inertial force. The capturing efficiency of mist eliminator increases along with the increase of air velocity. This is because the high flow velocity and the big inertia force acting on the droplets are conducive to the separation of gas and liquid. However, flow velocity improvement will increase system resistance and energy consumption. Meanwhile, the increase of flow velocity has certain limits because over-high flow velocity will cause water, thereby reducing demisting efficiency.

    Flue Gas Velocity

    Over slow or fast flow velocity is not beneficial to the normal operation of mist eliminator when flue gas goes through section of mist eliminator. Over fast flow velocity will make flue gas with water secondarily so that the efficiency will be affected. Meanwhile, system resistance and energy consumption will increase as well. Over slow flow velocity will influence gas-liquid separation, it will affect separation efficiency. The designing slower velocity and larger tower section will increase cost. As a result, Flue gas velocity should be close to critical velocity when designing. According to the blade structures and arrangements of mist eliminators, the velocity is between 3.5 to 5.5 meters per second, flue type is between 3.5 to 7.0 meters per second.

    Flushing system

    Water pipe of mist eliminator is made by anti-corrosive carbon steel or stainless steel and the nozzle is made of 316L. The layout form of flushing pipe is the top and bottom side of the first-degree mist eliminator and bottom side of the second-degree mist eliminator. 200% flushing water spray overlap rate ensures demister run with low resistance.
